Raw Marks first series
Executed 2012 -2013
Raw Marks is an ongoing series of work that takes on a primitive and evocative fusion of expressive marks and subtle tonal shifts. Through an evolving vision of self expression that is central to this body of work, conveys an energy of poetic contradictions. Combined with painting and drawing elements, disassembled, reassembled and thus, re-imagined, the interplay of raw elements act as a deep vista of an imaginary landscape. Setting the tone for multiple levels of expression. "The exploration of this series has taken me back to my curious drawing and mark-making roots. Raw Marks, for me, is an ardent and exuberant meeting of deconstruction and reconstruction, past and present."
